It doesn't feel like Christmas. It can't be Christmas. I don't know what

    [Hexed Private]
I've got to get back to working. I've got to get back to raising my kids the way they need me to. I need my family and yet I keep pushing away from them. My kids need to get on with their lives. They can't live in this uncertainty.

It sounds so much easier when I say it then when I try to act on it.

Bad enough Mum's gone. And Hermione. Least we could do is have Fleur back for Christmas. Though I'd almost rather she--no. I can't think that way. Better to have her hanging than not have her at all.

Bloody hell, Fleur, I miss you.

Felix and Victoire thought it would be fun to play at the shore today. Me, being the doting, loving, and not-so-bad father that I am, agreed to take them down there. Not my best idea ever, I have to admit. I have sand in places that shouldn't ever see sand. Ever. I'm picking sand out of my hair, brushing it off of my ears, and oh look, now there's sand in my journal. Fleur, I do believe next time would be your turn to make this short but highly sandy journey.

There's always the potential to look on the bright side. The children are having a tonne of fun, though I'm going to have to brew up a salve for them, as I can already see pink skin happening. You'd think as much as we're down here they'd build up some sort of resistance or something, but clearly with a part-Veela mother and a freckled practically peach coloured father, your skin has a natural tendency to lean towards burning. All of them do, anyway, except Sabrina, I think. Love, you got incredibly lucky, though I think I remember a slight burn you wouldn't stop crying about when you were four.

And now to stop Victoire from drowning her brother. I'm not positive, but I'm relatively sure I'd be declared Worst Father Ever if I allowed that one, yeah? Not quite as good as some of Fred and George's early antics, but they're willing to compete if the twins will let them. Oi.
